Beaches

Beaches on the Caribbean side are more peaceful and un-crowded but receive more rain and offer fewer facilities. They are ideal for those looking for a secluded beach holiday off the beaten track. Choose from Playa Herradura, Quepos and Manuel Antonio on the Pacific coast and don't miss the Tortuguero beach on the Caribbean side, home to nesting turtles between April and May.
